A Little More About Us

My name is Emily Carter, and I’m the founder of Carter & Coast. I started the store in 2018 with a simple idea: create a place where women could find beautiful, comfortable clothing that feels timeless rather than dictated by every new trend. I’ve always loved fashion, but I also believe getting dressed should feel easy and enjoyable. Over the years, Carter & Coast has grown from a small idea into a boutique that I’m incredibly proud of. What matters most to me has never been simply selling clothes, but helping women find pieces they genuinely feel good wearing. I still love choosing new collections, arranging the store and hearing what our customers think. After all these years, those are still the parts of the business I enjoy most.

Where It All Started

Carter & Coast began with a small collection and a lot of determination. I wanted to create a store that felt welcoming and personal, where you could take your time, look around and ask for advice without feeling pressured. From the beginning, I focused on pieces that could be worn season after season and easily become part of someone's wardrobe.

More Than Just a Clothing Store

For me, Carter & Coast has always been about more than clothing. It’s about the little conversations in the store, helping someone find an outfit for an occasion, or seeing a customer come back wearing something they bought months ago. Those moments are what make running the store so rewarding. I want every woman who visits Carter & Coast to feel comfortable, welcome and confident in her choices.
